Ralph Connor House hosted In Their Own Words, an amazing exhibit of 18 papier-mâché busts of Canadian writers by artist Susan Longmire as part of the Winnipeg International Wrtiers Festival.  The event included readings by Alison Gordon, author and granddaughter of Ralph Connor along wtih Manitoba writers David Bergen, Lise Gaboury-Diallo and Chandra Mayor.


The Rev. Dr. Charles William Gordon, 1860 -1937, was born in Glengarry County, Ontario but chose to make Winnipeg his home for more than half of his life.

He is one of  the most popular and best-selling authors in Canadian history, achieving worldwide success. Ralph Connor books sold in the millions at a time when success was measured in thousands.
